Middle School at Montessori Academy

The chief symptom of adolescence is a state of expectation, a tendency towards creative work and a need for the strengthening of self-confidence.
Dr. Maria Montessori

The Middle School program at MAB is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of adolescents in grades 6 through 8.

Rooted in Montessori’s principle of supporting the individual needs of each child, our holistic approach to this critical period of development integrates rigorous academic studies with purposeful work, preparing our middle school students to become confident, caring, independent global citizens.

While we are proud of our record of high school entrance and academic scholarship successes, we place a greater emphasis on a set of core values, which include grace and courtesy, kindness, self-confidence, and perseverance.

Our ultimate goal is that our students will leave us as academically prepared, independent, critical thinkers; and as responsible citizens and future leaders of our world community.
